About

Iyabo O. Muse, MD, FASA is a board-certified Anesthesiologist, and attending physician in the Division of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine at Westchester Medical Center and the Section Chief, Division of Orthopedic Anesthesia. She is also the Assistant Program Director for the PGY-1 residency. Presently, she is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College. Her clinical focus is on orthopedic procedures for which she provides peripheral nerve blocks and multimodal pain strategies for perioperative pain management. She also teaches residents and fellows the use of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in the perioperative management of patients. Her research focus includes perioperative pain management using regional anesthesia and multimodal pain strategies, improving healthcare disparities using quality improvement processes, and environmental sustainability projects for the operating room. Dr. Muse received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from New York University, and her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Afterward Dr. Muse completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
